Designed to give all first responders the appropriate skills and abilities to effectively respond to each phase of an ongoing active threat situation.
Law enforcement officers will learn how to immediately respond and control the threat in the Rapid Deployment course. The Rescue Task Force course gives law enforcement officers and EMS/Fire personnel the ability to work as a team and bring the necessary medical resources to victims in the most effective way possible. Fire service and law enforcement supervisors and command personnel will learn how to efficiently deploy personnel and manage resources in the Active Threat Command and Control course. Finally, the Multiple Assault Counter Terrorism Action Capabilities (MACTAC) course prepares law enforcement officers to respond to complex active threat situations involving committed attackers in multiple locations.
Rapid deployment is the immediate response of law enforcement officers to active threat incidents in the most immediate way possible with the mission of saving as many lives as possible. The 8-hour end user course provides law enforcement officers with skill sets that will prepare them to work effectively in active threat situations, as well as, other high threat incidents encountered on patrol. The course will provide law enforcement officers and supervisors with competent techniques to use within these incidents. This course uses a layered approach by explaining, demonstrating, practicing, and then testing participant’s ability to use rapid deployment skills and techniques. Participants will then be given opportunities to use rapid deployment techniques within small single team scenarios and large multiple team scenarios.
