This 8-hour course is a collaborative training program that is designed to bring law enforcement and fire service leadership together to provide nationally recognized best practices and strategies regarding the management, deployment and utilization of Rapid Deployment and Rescue Task Force teams during mass casualty events. This course should be attended by Police & Fire Department Chiefs, Deputy Chiefs, Shift Supervisors and Command Personnel. The course will define roles, responsibilities, and operational procedures to support a Rapid Deployment-Rescue Task Force response during a mass casualty event. The course will allow police and fire commanders the opportunity to work in partnership and practice the operational skills sets required to manage this type of an event in a classroom setting. Real world examples, simulations and tabletop exercises will be utilized to practice the communication, operational skill sets and coordination required to manage the deployment of Rescue Task Forces.
